Parking in Tirana and the rest of Albania

Street parking zones, car parks and Tirana airport tariffs, in lek and in your currency.

Parking in Tirana

Paid street parking in Tirana is split into three zones, A, B and C, each with its own hourly price. Outside the paid hours, parking in the zones is free.

When you pay

  • Paid: Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 20:00.
  • Free all day on Saturday and Sunday, and every night from 20:00 to 07:30.

Municipal car parks

Tirana's municipal car parks charge per stay. Skënderbej Square and Dinamo Stadium are Zone A car parks; Bulevardi i Ri is a Zone B car park. Keep your ticket until you leave.

Tirana Airport parking

Tirana International Airport has about 2,600 spaces in four car parks: P1, P2, P3 and an underground car park, which charges the same as P1. Prices include VAT and can change with the season.

For a stay of several days, P2 and P3 cost the least.

    In the public car parks at Jorgji Ziu Square, Vollga Square and the Ramazan Njala Sports Palace, the first 5 minutes are free and you pay by bank card only.

Parking in Albania: questions drivers ask

Yes. Street parking in Tirana's paid zones is free all day on Saturday and Sunday, and every night from 20:00 to 07:30. From Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 20:00, it costs 20 ALL to 100 ALL an hour, depending on the zone.

Send an SMS to 50500 with your plate number without spaces, a space and the zone letter, for example AA111AZ A. A reminder arrives 10 minutes before your time runs out, and another SMS extends it. You can also pay in the official Tirana Parking app.

P1 and the underground car park cost 300 ALL for up to 3 hours and 1,500 ALL for up to 24 hours. P2 and P3 cost 200 ALL for up to 2 hours and 500 ALL for up to 24 hours, then 500 ALL for each extra day. Kiss & Fly is free for the first 5 minutes.

Yes. Street parking in the paid zones is free every night from 20:00 to 07:30, so a car left in a marked bay overnight only needs paying again from 07:30 on weekdays. Never park on a pavement, a crossing or where signs forbid it: that is fined at any hour.
